The mission of the Growl Prowl is to raise funds from the community in order to help provide the basic needs for living and for learning that a growing number of Linn-Mar children lack.

The 2008-2016 Growl Prowl races were a huge success, with almost 2,100 8K / 5K runners and over 90 sponsors helping raise $55,000 that has been allocated directly to schools.  Funds are distributed to Linn-Mar school buildings during the school year.
